This is the only restaurant we go to anymore! Anything we ever ordered off the menu was incredible! My boyfriend even tried to order something he knew he didn't like, and they made it fantastically, he couldn't believe it! The service is incredible as well, and the staff is friendly as could be.

Decent spot for something a little different. It's surrounded byItalian,Mexican and Sushi so it's not very crowded. They have an odd little breakfast menu. I wouldn't characterize it as "French"....it's more of a "creperie" I guess. Wouldn't a French bistro that is open for breakfast have an omelette on the menu? How about a quiche? Maybe a chocolate croissant? The crepes are not bad and neither is this spot in general. Give it a shot! Not here!

Very delicious authentic French Bistro with of course fantastic crepes. Very flavorful and great ambiance. Can bring your own wine but they do have a great selection of French wines. Small place but quaint with outside seating.

Got a crepe to go. The crepe itself is delicious. But they used canned mushrooms. Sorry, if you want repeat customers, you need to use fresh ingredients. Yuck. I was the only customer in the place and Station 400 next door was slammed. I think I know why.

Authentic French cuisine! My family comes from France and I have to say this is among the best food I've tasted here in the states. The space is true to European style with limited seating, ad attentive staff and a quaint yet welcome space. There is often a pre-fixed menu that is always very good (and an excellent value). I highly recommend the warm goat cheese salad. The crepes are to die for; try the Nutella with strawberries or bananas. They are located on main street Lakewood Ranch, so you I'd try parking in the lot behind that part of the strip as the street is usually full always. You need to make reservations or they simply may not be able to seat you at all that night. I've even called just a few hours before and they accommodated us. Great restaurant overall!

Stopped for lunch during a bike ride with friends. We were a party of six, and they accommodated our request for outside seating. Our waitron was extremely efficient. We loved her! The food did not disappoint. I had the chicken sandwich on baguette, and it was like I had been transported to France.

Every time I've come here I've enjoyed myself. So repeated quality goes to 5 stars from a previous 4. I've never had the service issues other report and only ever had excellent and friendly service. So maybe I'm just cuter than the people who've had issues. The most recent visit was during a wine dinner. A 4 course dinner with paired wines. It was a lovely night and very reasonably priced when you consider the wine. I have to admit the food is not what I would typically consider adventurous but it is always very rich, flavorful and satisfying. The seafood has always been fresh and tasty and the sauces rich and deep in flavor. The wines were excellent and worked nicely. I'm typically more of a red person, but the white they selected were excellent and complemented the food very nicely. I can't wait for their next wine dinner. Plus, maybe it is time to stop in for a crepe for brunch soon as those are excellent as well. I just kind of wish they would have savory crepes at night as often times that is what i"m in the mood for.

No doubt this is five stars, would give it six if possible. We were looking for something new and on Main Stress we whipped out Yelp and this sounded worth the chance. The wait staff was stellar, can't say enough about how friendly we were treated. The menu made for a tough decision but everything sounded good. Everything we had from the wine selection to the main course to the bread was melt in your mouth amazing. Everything tasted like the chef was standing at our table making it right there but he was just a few feet away putting amazing care into every dish. We were really impressed and pleasantly surprised, prices a tad high but well worth every penny. In fact we were pleased to have the chef visit our table to be sure we enjoyed our meal. We will be back and if you give it a try, you will be, too.

The service is absolutely superb. This is easily the gold standard for Lakewood Ranch. Don't leave without trying one of the desert crepes.

2 things that I consistently get at Paris Bistrot are the crepes and croissants, which do NOT disappoint. The French breakfast crepes are light and sweet, while the Nutella and banana crepe is wonderfully decadent on top of the croissants being perfectly flaky and buttery. The waiters are a bit abrupt here and could reinforce some negative stereotypes about the city in the title of this restaurant. However, if you happen to be around the Lakewood Ranch area, this is definitely a good place to try a taste of French food.

service was horrible, understanding that the waitress was by herself in the restaurant, there was no need for her horrible attitude and service. Quiche was cold and had to be sent back by my sister and I just lost my appetite altogether. I have never, not left a tip, I have to say this was the first time. I was so disappointed because we were so looking forward to eating here. Never again.

Had forgotten what a great Lil place this is! Had the Beef Bourginon with Gorgonzola salad, hubby had seafood. I can't decide which was better, his or mine! Melanie was our server and very attending! We checked weather, no rain, so decided to take our Lil Shih Tzu and dine outside, well, it is FL, so decided to pour in the middle of dinner, she not only moved our table under shelter, but made sure we were nice and dry, with a smile on her face the entire time. Pictures will follow....what a great nite!

The service is a tad snobby but that's part of the charm(?). It is certainly not somewhere I would take a screaming child or an obnoxious friend who is hungover and hungry. Trust me your food comes when it comes and being loud about it does not get it there any faster. Last visit I ordered a latte and it took so long that the waiter gave me it for free. Overall I feel pretty neutral about the service. Just about everything on the menu is tasty. Portions are huge and the buckwheat crepes are fantastic. Next time I will start with desert and work backwards as I always want their sweet crepes however end up going savory and then getting too full for anything else. Their escargot was some of the best I have had in the area. This is where I would go when I get a hankering for some French flavors. .

My first time here was for lunch and it seemed promising; I had a salad nicoise, which was pretty authentic and the prosciutto sandwich was good too. I came back for breakfast and it was a different story. Though the place was completely empty the waiter asked us to wait before we could get seated. He was busy doing some kind of accounting behind the bar. After about 5 minutes of waiting I decided to sit down anyways, knowing that I would incur the inevitable attitude. Sure enough, he got very pissy after that. That would have been ok, if the food was good, but the crepes were disappointing, and cold. The chocolate on of the crepes actually tasted like chocolate milk syrup. I'll probably try the fixed price dinner menu soon, but if it disappoints I will only have myself to blame.

Pricey, but had the fish of the day. Sauces were nice, but the french onion soup was really bland and felt less fresh than the soup I can make at home and freeze. Otherwise it has a charming atmosphere. I will come back again planning on spending more.

YES! This restaurant seems small, and perhaps a little unassuming, but it is a jewel! We met another couple who had not been to this restaurant before either, and we all left very impressed. The four of us tried different dishes, all of which were the same price. The menu seems simple but the entrees are sophisticated and encompass the authentic rich tastes of French cuisine. We felt completely relaxed in the restaurant setting which reminded us of our own travels to Europe. We enjoyed our meal which took a little longer than usual, but it was worth it! We spent two hours total at the establishment. After dinner we enjoyed some fine wine and delicious crepes. We didn't feel "the rush" to leave, it was almost encouraged that we dine the "European way"- taking our time, and thus enjoying our dinner AND our company. Our evening was delightful, and we plan to dine again!

Could be better, def. NOT sublime. A tad pretentious for me (it's just a bistro, fer cry yi). Let me preface by saying I've been to Paris and the south of France, speak/read enough French to get around there, certainly enough to order from a menu. My paternal grandfather was a maitre d' and food buyer in the 1930s,40s and 50s at Longchamps and the Russian Tea Room restaurants in NYC, and my maternal grandmother was a chef trained in Austria who cooked for NYC's Fifth Avenue families in the 1920s, 30s and 40s, so I've got a history of 'continental cuisine' at home and in restaurants from both sides of my family. My husband thought the onion soup was wonderful and his pork medallions were astonishingly tender yet firm. They either buy an excellent grade of marbled meat or use a chemical tenderizer, but somehow they managed to make pork fabulous. Our French-speaking server did manage to embarrass my Wisconsin-raised husband by repeatedly asking, "You mean les pommes Dauphinois?" after hubby requested 'the potatoes' (at my prompting because he couldn't pronounce Dauphinois'), Of course hubby wanted les pommes Dauphinois, they were the ONLY potatoes on the menu. However, husband had no idea what the waiter was saying to him, and was further put off by his persistence. I had to intervene and let husband know he did want 'les pommes Dauphinois'. It was an odd experience, almost like an argument with the server, a bad start. Their country pate was more like shredded canned chicken than veal and/or pork, without liver/garlic/herbs, wine or even brandy, maybe a little shallot in there, but it was hard to tell. My side dish of ratatouille was brutally overcooked and dull dull, the shrimp entree sat on a nearly identical vegetable combination, so it was a fairly repetitive meal configuration I had selected. If the server had been on his toes, he might have notified me of that fact. The staff seemed to want to be snobbish, the maitre d' never cracked a smile (shades of my grandfather!), and the server had his own issues (see above). They had a miniature classic serving chain-of-command going on (don't expect your maitre d' or waiter to fetch another fork, they must tell the busboy to bring it to you). We won't go there again.

Well, what can I say? Not really impressed with the attitude that this place had- our waiter (olivier)? was rude, snotty and condescending...go figure. We liked the place next door (Italian) they were nice as can be and very friendly! It seemed like we were not very welcome here for some reason. Food was ok at best, service was horrible. Not very busy.

We went here while visiting friends in Florida. They describe the Paris Bistrot as "French comfort food". This is the French equivalent of a good neighborhood pasta restaurant. Nothing refined, but tasty with good ingredients. It's a good value. There are about 8 entrees which comprise a greatest hits of French country cooking: Coq au Vin, Boeuf Bourguignon, etc. The sauce on my Coq au Vin was on the heavy side but my plate was clean at the end. They also serve delicious crepes which are a fine way to end the meal. Wine markup was high, but that has been my universal experience in Florida. My 3-star rating is on the low side, I enjoyed the meal and would eat here regularly if it were in Seattle. But the places that I've given 4 stars are a step up.

I'd been to the creperie owned by the same group on Bradenton Beach. Paris Bistrot is set up quite similarly. It has a small, quiet, intimate atmosphere. The menu is short, but the food is superb. As a vegetarian, I do wish that there were a few more veggie options, but upon request, the chef prepared a special dish for me that was sublime. They're willing to go out of their way to satisfy their customers, without hovering. It also helps that they are truly French and serve authentic food. If you're expecting a ginormous plate of food, go to the Pancake House, as here you'll get traditional French portions. One big bonus for the ladies: the adorable, French accented waiters make for fantastic eye candy. ;-)

Although I am a desert rat--I came to the beach and steamy south to visit some of my best friends. We went directly from the airport to Paris Bistrot for dinner. We started dinner with a wonderful rose champagne to celebrate good friends--but the best was yet to come. There were several choices for dinner ranging from fish to shrimp to pork to beef. Everyone at the table chose something different--We all started with a salad--I had the smoked salmon salad which was wonderful --the smoked salmon was just right not to salty as it sometimes can be. The salad was complement by a wonderful mustard based dressing. Although the salad was just right--when another dining companion got the escargot--I had second thoughts--they looked and smelled wonderful. Main courses were soon to follow. I ordered shrimp in a tomato/olive sauce. The shrimp were plump and done to perfection and the sauce complemented without overwhelming. i was also able to taste some of the other plates. One friend had the curry chicken. I am not a big curry fan--but this was wonderful--the curry had a wonderful taste. All and all--we had a wonderful evening--good friendship enriched my wonderful food and wine. So if you live in Lakeland, Sarasota or Bradenton--head to Paris Bistrot for a wonderful evening.
